Young Leaders Program Ignites Entrepreneurial Spirit

The future of business in Logan City is shining bright! Today, over 50 enthusiastic senior school students embarked on their eight-week journey through the Young Business Leaders Program (YBLP), kicking things off with a spirited Start-Up Business Launch Day. This program, offered during Term 2 as an after-school co-curricular activity, provides a launchpad for these young minds to explore the exciting world of entrepreneurship.

This year's YBLP sees over 50 students dive headfirst into the program, fueled by the generous support of a dedicated team. Big thanks go out to BOP Industries for their stellar event organization, the Beenleigh Yatala Chamber of Commerce for their partnership, and the event sponsors: Bendigo Bank, Quota Beenleigh Inc., Rotary Club of Beenleigh, Logan City Council, Logan Office of Economic Development, and Mayor Jon Raven. Their collective efforts have empowered these students with an amazing opportunity to develop essential business skills and embark on their own entrepreneurial journeys.

From Idea to Reality: A Hands-On Learning Experience

The YBLP is more than just classroom lectures. It's a hands-on immersion into the exciting world of business creation. Throughout the program, students will be guided through the full business lifecycle, from the initial spark of an idea to the thrill of launching their own ventures.

Building Confidence and Future Leaders

By the program's culmination, these aspiring young entrepreneurs will have gained invaluable business knowledge and practical skills. They'll be equipped to confidently launch their business concepts at a special Breakfast Showcase in mid-June, showcasing their products, services, or innovative ideas to the wider Canterbury Community through market stalls.

The YBLP is more than just about business creation; it's about nurturing future leaders. The program fosters valuable skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and communication – all essential ingredients for success in any field.

As these students embark on their entrepreneurial adventure, we wish them the very best of luck! Their enthusiasm and dedication are a true inspiration, and we eagerly await witnessing the innovative business concepts they bring to life throughout the YBLP. Get ready, Logan City, because the future of business is bright, and these young leaders are poised to make a mark!
